NGC Networks director Nikki Guest has raised £740 towards new IT equipment for a local school after completing the Fountains 10k in North Yorkshire.

The race and children’s fun run raised a total £10,000 for the new IT kit at Fountains CE Primary School at Grantley, Ripon.

Nikki’s children, Evy, 9, and Asa, 7, are pupils at the school. The funds will enable a new interactive screen to be installed in the school hall and provide additional laptops to support the children’s learning.

Nikki was supported in her fundraising challenge by colleagues at Wakefield-based NGC Networks. The company, which specialises in business communications, matched every £1 raised by Nikki through her Just Giving page.

Nikki completed the Fountains 10k in just over an hour. She said: “It was a good effort with it being my first 10k and I’m pleased to have made a contribution to the fundraising which will benefit all the children at Fountains primary school. Thanks to everyone who supported me!”

The Fountains 10k is a registered charity.
