WDH brings digital Hub to Pontefract
Following the success of its Hub in the Bullring in Wakefield, WDH has transformed its Service Access Point in Pontefract to be the second Hub in the district.
The Pontefract Hub will support customers to get online to access WDH’s services independently as well as open up access to local information and businesses more easily. WDH’s trained Digital Angels are also on hand to help where needed.
Kevin Dodd, Chief Executive at WDH said, “We know that online customers are better connected, they are less isolated and are better off – getting discounts from local shops, services and attractions. It’s therefore a very important part of our Business Strategy to make sure that all of our tenants are online by 2020 by not only providing excellent facilities like our Wakefield and Pontefract Hubs, but also providing the training and support”.
Using the new computer facilities provided in the Pontefract Hub customers can do many things including:
• self-serve for all WDH’s services including applying for a home;
• access their online account to pay rent, report and track repairs and set up direct debits;
• search for jobs;
• apply for and manage benefits; and
• access important news and information.
With a Hub for the east and the west side of the district, WDH plan to create further Hubs in the future.
