Separately Steve Grocock is competing in the over 45’s category for the World Ironman Championships in Hawaii and Steve Clark will also compete in the toughest world event at the Norseman Extreme Triathlon, Norway. Steve is currently the Middle Distance Triathlon European Champion for his age group, winning Gold last year.

Jordan Skelly has recently returned from the European Duathlon Championships in Germany with a gold medal representing Team GB.

Ben Baugh won Bronze in the Under 20 British Championships last weekend and will also compete in the European Championships later this month.

Shaun Hunt, Chief Executive at Britcon said, “We are delighted to support these high achieving athletes as they embark on an amazing feat. With many of the races being televised it will be great for the people of North Lincolnshire to watch our local amateur sports heroes compete in some of the most gruelling and prestigious events.”

The sponsorship arrangement means that all employees at Britcon can benefit from one to one sessions with the athletes for training rides, fitness classes, nutrition seminars and general health and well-being advice between events.

Hunt continues, “We look forward to being a part of the journey with the boys and wish them the very best for achieving their goals this year.”

Britcon is a Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire based building and civil engineering company with an operating turnover of circa 30 million. Established for more than 25 years as a family owned business, Britcon employs over 80 staff across the UK.
