Support for Police Networking Event
Wakefield BID will be among the speakers taking part in a business networking event aimed at helping to make Wakefield a safer city.
Organised by West Yorkshire Police in partnership with Wakefield Council, Trinity Walk and Wakefield Area Business Against Crime (WABAC), the event will take place between 10.30am and 2.30pm on October 12 at Trinity Walk offices.
Its aim is to enable West Yorkshire Police to communicate better with local businesses, giving them a voice in the creation of a safer city. Input is expected from the North East Counter Terrorist Unit, Wakefield Business Crime Prevention, Wakefield BID, WABAC, CYBER Crime and the Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Wakefield BID manager Elizabeth Murphy said: “Crime prevention and making Wakefield a safer place to be is high on the agenda of all our city centre businesses. At Wakefield BID we are keen to pursue this and help open up better channels of communication between the police and the business community.”
