Ramsdens 10 Million Step Challenge for Sport Relief

Staff at Ramsdens Solicitors have set themselves an epic challenge in aid of Sport Relief.

The challenge is to complete 10,000,000 steps across the week (17 – 23 March) which will see staff dancing, walking, running, climbing plus much more all in the aid of Sport Relief.

Colleagues have challenged themselves to walk the distance from London to Paris, (a whopping 623,040 steps) with many opting to walk and run into work during the week. The business had steppers at the Kirklees Business Conference and also further afield #RamsdensSteppers travelled across Sydney Bridge in Australia, India and the Lake District.Over 80 members of staff will participate in the challenge in a bid to increase staff well-being and health across Ramsdens’ 12 offices.

Jonathan Cornes, Director of Risk & Compliance and Ramsdens’ salsa teacher commented: “It has brought young and old, fit and unfit together! Two of our staff started out intending to put a dance together but their sessions have turned into impromptu dance lessons for any staff calling in to spectate!”
Sinéad Sopala, Director of Marketing at Ramsdens comments: “As a firm we participate in lots of charity events but Sport Relief is a charity event that we really take to heart. Our staff’s happiness and wellbeing is really important to us at Ramsdens and is something that we are always looking to invest in. The uptake of the challenge has been so great that we are going to keep it going and introduce a monthly activity for staff to take part in across our 12 offices via our social committee….the #RamsdensSteppers are going to keep stepping thanks to Sport Relief!”You can follow the progress of #teamRamsdens by following @RamsdensLLP #RamsdensSteppers on social media where the team will be sharing lots of updates and selfies across the week.
