MWA Receives ISO Certification

Martin Walsh Architectural (MWA), based in Dewsbury, has been accredited with ISO 9001 and 14001 certification which acknowledges the company’s high standards in relation to quality management and environmental practices.

Putting their organisation under the spotlight, MWA’s quality management and environmental practices were thoroughly examined by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

Celebrating the accreditation, Damian Walsh, comments: “Being ISO certified in both our quality management and environmental practices is great news for MWA. We have worked hard to maximise our performance in each of these areas and for the ISO to recognise these achievements is a great accolade.

“Having stringent quality management policies in place ensures we maintain a positive culture and work together as a team towards a shared vision whilst having customer satisfaction at the forefront of all our work.”

Over recent years significant changes have been made to the MWA business, in order to meet the high standards of ISO 14001.

“We are continually aiming to reduce the impact our business has on the environment and look to reduce our footprint where we can. Over recent years significant changes have occurred, as an example 60% of MWA’s vehicles are plug in hybrids, which demonstrates our determination to reduce our carbon footprint,” added Walsh

As an environmentally conscious firm MWA put the environment at the forefront of their design work. By considering the bigger picture MWA actively encourage the use of environmentally friendly, sustainable building techniques, materials and technologies to ensure the buildings they design have as low an environmental impact as possible for the building’s lifespan.
