MWA Nominated for Top Regional Award

Martin Walsh Architectural (MWA) has been shortlisted in the Creative Impact category at the 2018 Examiner Awards.

The nomination follows a strong year for the Dewsbury based family owned Architects, which has seen the team achieve Chartered Architects RIBA status, invest in leading edge technology to stay at the forefront of industry developments, receive ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations for its quality management and environmental practices and secure a number of high profile contracts.

In addition to national and international partners, MWA has worked with several Kirklees based businesses throughout 2017 and 2018, including Yummy Yorkshire and Dewsbury Heritage Townscape Initiative, maximising budgets and delivering growth for each client.

Renowned for creating buildings that work harder, MWA are recognised for maximising space, improving a buildings environmental performance, reducing a building’s running costs and delivering a positive environment to work in.

Marcus Walsh, MWA Director, comments: “We’re all extremely proud to have been nominated for the Examiner Awards, especially within the Creative Impact category, which not only recognises our flair for architectural design but also our efforts in making buildings work harder for our clients.

“The Huddersfield and Kirklees area certainly has plenty of thriving businesses and it’s a great achievement to be recognised in such a competitive category.”

The Examiner Awards nomination builds on what has been a hugely successful year for the MWA team as they were announced as regional winners at the LABC West Yorkshire Building Excellence Awards in the ‘Best Individual New Home’ category and were nominated for ‘Project of the Year’ at the recent Yorkshire and Humber Constructing Excellence Awards.

Now in its 14th year, The Examiner Awards celebrate the best businesses the Huddersfield region has to offer and will take place on November 1st at the John Smiths Stadium, Huddersfield.
