To grow the size of the local economy by increasing the visibility of the district and promoting it as a place for inward investment.
To enable businesses to work together to market the district, and in turn their own activities, to a wider audience
To create a dynamic, informed and proactive local business to business network
100% of Bondholder membership fees are used to support the aims of the Wakefield First Bondholder scheme – which is to secure significant inward investment.
This will be done by promoting a positive image of the district, by raising its profile and communicating all it has to offer to the benefit of local businesses, residents and stakeholders.
Ultimately this is a way of communicating that you are proud to be based in Wakefield and that you are playing an active role in shaping the district.
The Wakefield First Bondholder Scheme helps members to create stronger connections by creating opportunities to meet-up with fellow Bondholders and by hosting business networking events that take place throughout the district.
The Bondholder’s First Friday, as an example, is the districts’ premier networking event. Growing in popularity First Friday is attracting more delegates, more decision makers and more businesses from a variety of sectors. In addition to receiving a free place at two First Friday events, Bondholders also have the opportunity to increase their profile and their participation – whether this is by being a part of the panel of guest speakers or by hosting the event at their business premises.
Bondholder events, both formal and informal, also create better opportunities to connect and do business.
As a Bondholder there are many ways to raise your profile.
You can be a part of the ‘Wakefield Wallpaper’ showcasing you company in a vibrant and visually strong piece of advertising that features locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
