First UK Outlet Store for the Happy World of HARIBO

HARIBO, the UK’s leading confectionery manufacturer, has launched its first outlet store – a 1,440 sq ft unit at London Designer Outlet (LDO) in Wembley Park.

The new store offers a selection of treats that complement what is already on offer within the UK, showcasing party packs and sharing formats.

Family favourite treats are on offer alongside a selection of HARIBO products from around the world, including halal and vegetarian sweets. Shoppers can also purchase exclusive merchandise.

Herwig Vennekens, Managing Director of HARIBO UK, comments: “We are very excited to have opened our first Outlet store, a decision that supports our continued success whilst also demonstrating just what the brand has to offer with regards to product and pack variety.”

“Whilst this is a new concept for the UK, HARIBO stores are very popular across Europe; in France we have 12, each offering an exclusive mix of treats and a glimpse into the happy world of HARIBO. We certainly feel that LDO is the perfect place to open our first here in the UK.”

A family-owned business HARIBO has been making much-loved sweets for almost 100-years, today these treats are shared and enjoyed around the world. Launching into the UK market in 1972 HARIBO operates two manufacturing facilities in West Yorkshire, which are home to more than 700 team members.

Positioned as the capital’s only fashion and lifestyle outlet centre, London Designer Outlet features 70 shops and restaurants, a cinema complex and children’s play park.
